Elvis Presley’s granddaughter, Danielle Riley Keough, has filed a lawsuit to stop the foreclosure sale of Graceland, the historic Memphis home of the late singer. Keough alleges fraud, stating that the company behind the sale, Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC, does not exist and has no rights to the property. Keough was able to obtain a restraining order against the sale until a court rules on her application for an injunction.

The lawsuit claims that Naussany Investments presented fraudulent documents showing that Lisa Marie Presley, Keough’s mother and the sole heir to Graceland, had borrowed $3.8 million and given a deed of trust encumbering the property. However, the lawsuit asserts that Lisa Marie Presley never borrowed money from Naussany Investments and never gave a deed of trust to the company. A notary in Florida also stated that she had never met Lisa Marie Presley or notarized any documents for her, despite her name appearing on loan paperwork.

Naussany Investments & Private Lending LLC appears to be a false entity created for the purpose of defrauding. The business was listed as located in Kimberling City, Missouri, but CNN was unable to locate a business by that name in the state of Missouri or nationwide. A non-judicial sale of Graceland was scheduled for May 23, 2024, based on the fraudulent documents, prompting Keough to seek an injunction to stop the sale.

Elvis Presley Enterprises, the company that manages Presley’s estate, has confirmed that the claims made by Naussany Investments are fraudulent and that there is no foreclosure sale of Graceland. The company has filed a counter lawsuit to stop the fraud. Graceland is a major tourist attraction in the South and was once the nation’s second-most visited home after the White House. The estate is reportedly worth between $400 million and $500 million, with Lisa Marie Presley earning seven figures annually from it.

A hearing is scheduled for Wednesday at 9 a.m. at Chancery Court in Shelby County, Tennessee, where the court will rule on Keough’s application for an injunction to prevent the foreclosure sale of Graceland. CNN has reached out to representatives and attorneys for Keough for comment on the situation. The outcome of the lawsuit will determine the future ownership and management of the iconic property that holds significant historical and cultural value as the former home of the legendary musician Elvis Presley.
