Arrived, another Seattle-based startup, allows investors to buy shares of single-family homes and has been praised for its employee-centric approach, despite being a remote-first firm. The company has created a virtual office to facilitate connections among team members and hosts all-hands offsite events to reinforce an inclusive culture.

Likewise, a content-recommendation startup in the Seattle area, was commended for its inclusive and diverse culture as well as its hybrid workplace plan. The company emphasizes strong communication and employee buy-in, setting it apart in the industry. Humanly, a Seattle startup focused on automating recruiting functions, was recognized for its focus on building product alongside culture, leading to high employee satisfaction rates. Syndio, a Seattle startup analyzing workplace pay equity issues and providing strategies for fixing disparities, was highlighted for its strong culture driven by a core product that promotes equitable workplaces.

The GeekWire Awards aim to recognize top innovators and companies in the Pacific Northwest technology industry, with finalists selected based on community nominations and input from judges. Community voting will continue until April 12, with winners to be announced live at the event in Seattle on May 9.
