Jeremy Meeks, known for his viral mugshot in 2014, is set to release his autobiography titled “Model Citizen: The Autobiography of Jeremy Meeks” on Sept. 3. The book will delve into Meeks’ life, beyond his “hot felon” persona, and shed light on his struggles with gang violence, poverty, race, and the life-changing moments that shaped his world. Meeks hopes that by sharing his story, readers will be able to connect with and understand his journey.

In addition to discussing his 2015 conviction and life after his release from jail in 2016, Meeks will also talk about his early years, which involved moving around the country and enduring a poverty-stricken and gang-related adolescence. The autobiography promises to offer a candid look at the challenges Meeks faced and the decisions that led him to where he is today. The book will also feature 50 full-page color modeling photos taken by celebrity photographer Jim Jordan.

Apart from his modeling and acting career with White Cross Management, Meeks is a father to two sons, Jayden and Jeremy Jr. He has spoken openly about his co-parenting relationships with his ex-girlfriend Chloe Green and his ex-wife Melissa Meeks, emphasizing the importance of focusing on his own well-being. Meeks expressed gratitude for the opportunity to share his story in a vulnerable and honest way, hoping that his experiences will resonate with those who read his autobiography.

Reflecting on the writing process of his autobiography, Meeks shared on Instagram in November 2023 that he felt “beyond blessed” to be able to share his truth with the world. He acknowledged that his story contains aspects that many may not be aware of, but believes in the power of sharing his authentic narrative, even if it involves uncomfortable truths. Meeks expressed his desire for his story to reach those who need to hear it, highlighting the importance of transparency and authenticity in storytelling.

As Meeks prepares for the release of his autobiography, he has emphasized the significance of addressing the highs and lows of his life journey. By sharing his personal struggles and triumphs, Meeks aims to inspire readers to reflect on their own experiences and find connections in the vulnerabilities and challenges that life presents. The book, “Model Citizen: The Autobiography of Jeremy Meeks,” is now available for preorder, offering a glimpse into a life that transcends the viral fame of a single mugshot.
