The McCaffrey family is known for their athletic talents, with Christian McCaffrey, an NFL running back, being the most well-known member. However, he is not the only athlete in the family. Christian’s father, Ed McCaffrey, also played in the NFL, winning three Super Bowls during his career. The McCaffrey family is made up of parents and siblings who have all played sports at a high level, with Christian’s two younger brothers also pursuing football.

Ed McCaffrey, Christian’s father, had a successful career in the NFL after playing football at Stanford. He played for teams such as the New York Giants, San Francisco 49ers, and the Denver Broncos. His experience and success in the league have influenced Christian and his brothers as they followed in his footsteps. Christian has spoken about wanting to create his own name and legacy beyond being known as Ed’s son, despite the advantages that came with being part of a football family.

Christian’s mother, Lisa McCaffrey, was also a talented athlete who played soccer at Stanford. She now co-hosts a podcast called “Your Mom.” Lisa has emphasized the importance of her children being involved in activities they love, whether it’s sports, books, or music. This supportive environment has allowed all four of her children to pursue their passions and excel in their respective endeavors.

Max McCaffrey is the oldest sibling in the family and has also had a career in the NFL as a wide receiver. After joining the league as an undrafted free agent, he played for several teams before becoming an offensive assistant coach for the Miami Dolphins. Christian McCaffrey, the most well-known of the siblings, has made a name for himself in the NFL as a talented running back. He was the eighth overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft and currently plays for the San Francisco 49ers. McCaffrey is also engaged to former Miss Universe Olivia Culpo.

Dylan McCaffrey, the second-youngest sibling, played quarterback at Michigan before transferring to Northern Colorado. Luke McCaffrey, the youngest brother, has followed in his brothers’ footsteps as a football player. Starting his collegiate career as a quarterback, Luke transitioned to wide receiver in 2022. In March 2024, Luke participated in the NFL Scouting Combine and even beat Christian’s time for the 40-yard dash by a fraction of a second. The McCaffrey family continues to leave a mark in the world of sports with their talent and dedication to the game.
