Chris Hansen, host of TruBlu’s “Takedown” on FOX Nation, recently conducted a predator sting that led to the arrest of five suspects who were caught soliciting a minor for sex. Three of the suspects were in the United States illegally and were from Honduras and Guatemala. Hansen worked with the Blount County Sheriff’s Office in Alabama to pose as an undercover “aunt” offering to sell her niece for sex in online chats with the suspects. Each suspect used translator apps to have graphic conversations detailing the sexual acts they wanted to engage in with the child. The suspects, who worked in construction and landscaping, were often employed by homeowners and unsuspecting families.

During the sting operation in Blount County, the suspects arrived at a designated “sting house” to meet with two young women posing as the aunt and her niece. Hansen and law enforcement officials revealed themselves and questioned the suspects about their actions. Two of the suspects, Garson Chilol and Henry Lopez, arrived at the home together and claimed they did not have much money to offer for sex with the teenage niece. However, authorities found $1,500 in their wallets when they were arrested. The suspects were charged with solicitation by computer, human trafficking, and traveling to meet a child for an unlawful sex act. The arrests highlighted the issue of illegal immigration in the United States and the crimes that can result from it.

Hansen emphasized the importance of scrutinizing who is allowed to enter the country, as the open border process is impacting the entire nation. Sheriff Mark Moon expressed the need to do a better job of apprehending individuals coming into the United States illegally through the southern border. He noted that law enforcement officials across the country are dealing with both violent and nonviolent criminal activity tied to illegal immigration. The arrests made in connection to the minor solicitation scheme underscored the urgency of addressing border security and preventing criminal activities related to illegal immigration.

The suspects’ immigration statuses were investigated following their arrests, revealing that three of them were in the country illegally. The collaboration between Hansen and the Blount County Sheriff’s Office led to the successful apprehension of individuals involved in soliciting a minor for sex. Hansen and law enforcement officials posed as potential perpetrators of the crime, engaging the suspects in online conversations that detailed their intentions to engage in sexual acts with a child. The suspects’ occupations in construction and landscaping underscored the fact that criminal activities related to illegal immigration can occur in various industries and settings.

The predator sting operation conducted by Chris Hansen and the Blount County Sheriff’s Office served as a reminder of the dangers posed by individuals soliciting minors for sex and the importance of proactive law enforcement efforts to combat such crimes. Sheriff Moon emphasized the need for improved border security measures to prevent illegal immigration and the criminal activities associated with it. The arrests made during the sting operation sent a clear message that law enforcement officials are dedicated to protecting children and communities from predators who exploit vulnerable individuals for their own gain. Hansen’s work shed light on the issue of illegal immigration and the impact it can have on public safety and national security.
