Chelsea have agreed terms with Atletico Madrid to sign Joao Felix for £42m plus £8.5m in add-ons, a move that could push Raheem Sterling closer to leaving the club. Sterling was left out of the squad for a recent match against Manchester City, and Juventus may be interested in signing him. However, the Turin club would need to reduce their wage bill before making a concrete offer for Sterling, who may need to consider uprooting his family in London for a move to Italy. Chelsea are keen to offload Sterling, whom they signed from Manchester City in 2022 for £47.5m.

Al-Ahli are considering increasing their offer for Brentford’s Ivan Toney after an initial bid of around £35m was rejected. Toney, who is a target for Arsenal and Chelsea, is in the final year of his contract, but Brentford is holding out for more than £50m for the striker. Despite receiving an eight-month ban for breaching betting rules, Toney returned in January to score four goals in 17 matches and was part of the England squad at Euro 2024.

Manchester United are not in a rush to sign PSG’s Manuel Ugarte and are willing to wait until deadline day to try and secure the midfielder. United believe PSG’s £51m valuation is too high and hope the French club will reduce their asking price over time. United are also looking to sell players like Victor Lindelöf, Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Scott McTominay to potentially finance a move for Ugarte. Fulham has shown interest in McTominay, having made a bid of around £20m at the beginning of the month.

Nottingham Forest is in talks with Arsenal to sign Eddie Nketiah, with Forest seeing a £25m bid rejected. Arsenal is holding out for at least £30m for the striker. Nketiah, who was on the bench for Arsenal’s recent win over Wolves, scored six goals in 37 appearances last season. Forest is also interested in signing Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez as they look to strengthen their attacking options under head coach Nuno Espirito Santo. In total, Nketiah has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for Arsenal.

In addition to Raheem Sterling, Manchester City is also considering selling players like Victor Lindelöf, Casemiro, Antony, Jadon Sancho, and Scott McTominay before the transfer window deadline. Fulham has expressed interest in signing McTominay, while PSG is unlikely to pursue a move for Sancho either as part of a potential Ugarte transfer deal or separately. Nottingham Forest’s pursuit of Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal continues, with the striker being identified as a key target to bolster Forest’s attacking options. Arsenal is holding out for a higher offer of at least £30m for Nketiah, who has scored 38 goals in 168 appearances for the club.
