Dolce & Gabbana and Mytheresa recently launched a capsule collection inspired by the beautiful island of Capri, following previous collections based on Portofino and Miami. The collection, available exclusively on Mytheresa, features pieces adorned with scenes of Capri, including the iconic Faraglioni cliffs and lemon groves. Classic D&G polka dots add a touch of holiday glamour to the collection, which includes crop tops, mini skirts, shirt dresses, blouses, palazzo pants, and head scarves. Mytheresa’s chief commercial officer noted that the yearly collaboration has become a summer tradition and celebration.
The launch event for the capsule collection was held in Capri, where guests were treated to a night of dinner and dancing at the lemon-laden Da Paolino restaurant. The festivities kicked off with a cocktail hour at Bar Tiberio, featuring D&G decor and guests dressed in the Capri collection. Notable attendees included White Lotus star Beatrice Granno and actress Alice Pagani. As the sun set over the Tyrrhenian Sea, guests were driven to the dinner venue along the scenic roads of Capri. At Da Paolino, the garden setting was adorned with lemons and candles, creating a sumptuous atmosphere.
The dinner menu featured Italian favorites, including a giant ball of burrata, lemon ravioli, and a large strawberry fagioli cake for dessert. Poppy Delevingne and German socialite Leonie Hanne mingled as musicians serenaded the crowd. The evening culminated in a conga line and dancing to Italian music, with a rendition of “That’s Amore” marking the end of dinner. The party continued at the nightclub Anema E Core, where guests enjoyed late-night drinks and danced the night away to cap off the Caprese holiday celebration.
