Florida law enforcement believe they may have found the body of missing woman Katherine Altagracia Guerrero De Aguasvias, who was kidnapped at gunpoint in broad daylight on Thursday. The case is now being investigated as a homicide after remains believed to be hers were discovered near the site of her abduction. Guerrero De Aguasvias was driving northbound to see family when a green Acura began ramming into her back bumper. She called her husband for help and was seen on video unlocking her car door for one of the suspects who pointed a gun at her.

Video footage captured the terrifying moment when Guerrero De Aguasvias was forced to let one of the suspects enter her car at gunpoint. Sheriff Dennis Lemma said there were at least two suspects in the Acura following her but it is unclear if more were involved. A body was discovered inside a burning vehicle parked 17 miles away, along with twelve 10mm shell casings matching the ammunition seen in the video. Despite the evidence, investigators were unable to immediately confirm that the car and remains belonged to Guerrero De Aguasvias. The suspects appeared to have known exactly who they were targeting and were familiar with the area where they took her.

Lemma noted that the suspects seemed to be familiar with the area where they directed Guerrero De Aguasvias and where her body was found. He expressed his belief that the suspects had been in the area before and that the situation was not a random act. The investigation is ongoing and no arrests have been made yet, with authorities still searching for the suspects. Sheriff Lemma emphasized that there is currently no known motive for the crime, but the suspects appear to have targeted Guerrero De Aguasvias specifically.
