Angelina Jolie’s lawyers have made shocking allegations against Brad Pitt, claiming that he was physically abusive towards her and the children even before the 2016 incident that led to her filing for divorce. The filing was in support of Jolie’s legal battle with Pitt over their French winery Chateau Miraval. It was alleged that Pitt’s abusive behavior towards Jolie started prior to the 2016 plane trip from France to Los Angeles, which marked the first time he turned his physical abuse towards the children as well. Jolie immediately left him after this incident.

The filing also claimed that Pitt wanted Jolie to agree to a more restrictive non-disclosure agreement in order for her to share her portion of Chateau Miraval. Pitt’s attorneys argued that Jolie was the one who wanted a broader non-disparagement clause as part of their divorce negotiations. The legal battle also involved accusations of Pitt’s attempts to cover up alleged abuse. Jolie’s team cited emails and other evidence in their filing and expressed concerns that the information could become public.

The custody battle between Pitt and Jolie has been ongoing since their separation in 2016. The pair, who were together for a decade, have been legally single since 2019 but had not finalized a custody agreement over their three minor children. Jolie has been granted primary custody of the three youngest children, a decision that Pitt is reportedly not happy about. Despite making progress in their custody arrangements, the battle over ownership of their French winery remains contentious.

In March, a judge granted Pitt’s request to sue Jolie for breach of implied-in-fact contract over the sale of Jolie’s stake in Miraval to Tenute del Mondo without Pitt’s consent. However, the judge also dismissed several of Pitt’s complaints against Jolie regarding the property. Jolie’s attorney claimed that Pitt’s lawsuit was not about a business dispute but an attempt to cover up alleged abuse. Pitt’s willingness to continue the legal battle over Chateau Miraval was indicated as a way to spite Jolie.

The legal battle between Pitt and Jolie has been ongoing for years, with both parties making serious allegations against each other. The conflict involves not only the custody of their children but also ownership of their French winery. Despite being legally single since 2019, the pair have not been able to come to a resolution on their differences. The ongoing legal battle over their assets and the circumstances of their divorce continues to be a point of contention between Pitt and Jolie. Both parties remain committed to fighting for what they believe is fair.
