The first lady visited shops in the area and signed copies of her children’s book, “Willow the White House Cat.” The family then traveled to Rehoboth Beach, where the president remained through the week.
While in California and Delaware, President Biden participated in calls with foreign leaders, focusing on foreign affairs and working towards a ceasefire deal in Gaza. He also spoke with several world leaders, including Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. Biden was committed to his work despite being on vacation, highlighting his dedication to his role as president.
As the election draws closer, Biden is expected to increase his involvement in the campaign, particularly in the crucial battleground state of Pennsylvania. He will join Vice President Harris in campaign events, starting with an appearance in Pittsburgh on Labor Day.
