The Harris County Pollution Control, Harris County Hazmat, and CTEH reported that there were no dangerous chemicals within the community, despite the presence of an odor. The Harris County Sheriff’s Office confirmed that 35 PEMEX employees were triaged following the leak, with 2 of them tragically succumbing to their injuries. The majority of mutual aid resources have been released, while HCSO continues its investigation into the incident. The community was also informed that there was no hazard to them following the incident.
