Jennifer Garner has been stepping up her workout routine in preparation for her role as Elektra in “Deadpool & Wolverine.” Working with her trainer Beth Nicely, Garner has been training intensely with boxing three times a week and spending a lot of time on her Peloton bike. Her workouts also involved twirling sais in the backyard and pushing her body to its limits. Nicely considers Garner to be a professional athlete in terms of her physical capabilities and dedication to fitness, as she continues to challenge herself with harder and more difficult workouts as she ages.

Garner starts her day with a workout and emphasizes the importance of physical exercise for both the body and the mind. She enjoys doing Body by Simone cardio workouts, which involve dancing and trampoline moves that make her happy. Garner also revealed that she uses tricks like being accountable to workout buddies and having coffee ready in the morning to motivate herself to get up for early morning workouts. One of her favorite workouts is box jumping, which she does six days a week for 20 minutes each session, as it helps develop strength, coordination, and cardiovascular stamina.

Even when she’s traveling, Garner makes sure to prioritize her workout routine by using hotel gyms or doing workout videos that require no equipment. She also uses the Peloton app for running workouts when she’s on the go. When training for physical roles like in the film “Peppermint,” Garner undergoes intense training sessions that include weight lifting, dance cardio, boxing, and stunt work with Navy SEALs. Her trainer Simone De La Rue focuses on sculpting her arms with heavier weights and bodyweight exercises to prepare her for the role.

Garner maintains a consistent workout routine and views fitness as a lifestyle rather than a fad. Her trainer Nicely emphasizes the importance of being consistent with workouts, even if it doesn’t always equal an hour-long session. Garner prefers to eat a balanced diet rather than follow extreme diets, aiming to be good with her diet 80% of the time. She has a weakness for pizza and popcorn but generally sticks to a healthy eating routine. While she enjoys experimenting with different diets occasionally, she ultimately prefers to focus on a well-rounded daily diet.

To fuel her workouts, Garner relies on Brooks sneakers, particularly the Ghost and Glycerin models, for support and comfort. She emphasizes the importance of having the right sneakers to maximize workout performance and protect the feet. Her diet is approachable and includes smoothies, eggs, whole fat yogurt, nuts, berries, apples with peanut butter for snacks, salads with fresh veggies, cheese, and nuts for lunch, and “mom food” like roast chicken, potatoes, or rice for dinner. Garner’s commitment to her fitness routine and balanced diet showcase her dedication to maintaining a healthy lifestyle both on and off the screen.
