And then who knows after that.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The comments come on the heels of a recent Sports Business Journal report that NBC is zeroing in on TNT\u2019s \u201cB\u201d package for the league that would begin with the 2025-26 season, thus putting the future of \u201cInside the NBA\u201d in jeopardy beyond next year.<\/p>\n<p>Amazon and Disney are also said to be negotiating media rights with the league, with SBJ reporting NBC would take over TNT\u2019s package for $2.6 billion a year if the deal moves forward.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unclear if TNT has attempted to match an offer in hopes of retaining a package. <\/p>\n<p>As the crew signed off Thursday, Barkley \u2014 who hasn\u2019t shied away from ripping his bosses in the wake of the ordeal  \u2014 did a double-take upon hearing Johnson close out the year.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI cannot wait for next season. It\u2019s going to be a blast,\u201d Johnson said, with Barkley responding, \u201cDid Ernie say a \u2018blast\u2019 or \u2018last?&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Inside the NBA&#8217; signs off for this season. &#8220;I cannot wait for next season. She should do it the right way.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Barkley, who at one point told Smith, \u201cHey, man, I can talk to who I want to,\u201d then expressed the importance of speaking out.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s people\u2019s lives,\u201d Barkley told The New York Times of the situation. \u201cNot my life. Not Ernie\u2019s life. Not Kenny\u2019s life. Not Shaq\u2019s life. But all the people who work here. We probably have 100 people who do work on the show. So they\u2019re, like, real people. I\u2019ve seen their kids born, graduate high school, graduate college.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The NBA Finals will air on ABC, with Game 1 between the Mavericks and Celtics tipping off in Boston on June 6 at 8:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<p>It will be Doncic\u2019s first NBA Finals appearance.
