The highlight of the album is \u201cChop and Run\u201d, which starts as a synopsis of his father Fela\u2019s \u201cUnknown Soldier\u201d, about a violent army raid on the Kuti compound. \u201cI can go on and on,\u201d he sings, before summarising the recent political scandals of the country: \u201c2018 Northern forum money\u2009.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009Finance officer tell Kano government gorilla swallow over 6mn naira\u2009.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009snake swallow 36mn naira.\u201d His voice rises in disbelief. \u201cAnimals don\u2019 join in the corruption\u2009.\u2009.\u2009.\u2009!\u201dThe next track, \u201cAfter 24 Years\u201d, a long-standing fan favourite in the Shrine, the family nightclub in Lagos (with its dating and lyrics newly updated), condemns the civilian politicians of the new century. \u201cThey failed to repair our refineries\/They pretend with their rivalries\/They sit down together dey enjoy\/While the country they destroy.\u201d Drippy and underpowered on 2018\u2019s One People One World, \u201cCorruption Na Stealing\u201d roars back into life here, complete with a tinny keyboard line and thunderous drums. \u201cShotan\u201d is similarly super-powered, with guttural vocals, grungy guitars and drumlines tumbling over each other, its urgency belying the fact that its target, Olusegun Obasanjo, left the presidency in 2007.When Kuti turns his attention inward, as on \u201cWork On Myself\u201d, the sentiments become more generic.
