No, because I don\u2019t want it to be awkward when I\u2019m carrying my watermelon from Stop &amp; Shop and I f\u2013king bump into her.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portnoy has opined several times on Hudson and Belichick since their relationship was once again put under the spotlight, with CBS showing Hudson interrupting the interview.<\/p>\n<p>Portnoy said he believes the 73-year-old North Carolina coach \u2014 who has mocked social media in the past \u2014 is unaware of the many Instagram posts that Hudson has included him on.<\/p>\n<p>Portnoy, an avid watcher of \u201cCBS Sunday Morning,\u201d said he was surprised the relationship was mentioned in the interview and wondered if him tweeting the interaction was part of the reason the story blew up.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s a feel-good show. The opposite of controversial.\u201d Portnoy tweeted Sunday along with the clip. \u201cSo (imagine) my surprise this morning when they had the most awkward Bill Belichick interview I\u2019ve ever seen. Like, I was squirming in my seat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Portnoy said he believes that CBS must have thought that Hudson was \u201cso annoying\u201d \u2014\u00a0and that is what prompted them to include the former cheerleader stopping the interview when Belichick was asked how the two met, which they have maintained was on a 2021 flight.<\/p>\n<p>Within the CBS story, reporter Tony Dokoupil noted that it was not the only time that Hudson had disrupted the interview.<\/p>\n<p>TMZ later reported that Hudson stormed off at one point and caused a 30-minute delay.<\/p>\n<p>The two sides went back-and-forth on the interview Wednesday, with Belichick claiming that CBS broke an agreement about topics, with the focus expected to be on his upcoming book \u2014 \u201cThe Art of Winning.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUnfortunately, the expectation was not honored during the interview,\u201d Belichick said in a statement that was put out by North Carolina. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book. After the occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cShe was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track.
