A new version was published in 2020 by McQuilkin with social philosopher Roman Krznaric, which revealed a strong correlation between democracy and intergenerational solidarity, with top-performing countries in intergenerational solidarity being democracies while autocracies appeared at the bottom of the rankings.However, major studies \u2014 including a 2020 report by Cambridge University\u2019s Centre for the Future of Democracy \u2014 show that most young people are increasingly disillusioned with democracy.The study showed that 55% of millennials say they are dissatisfied with democracy, while fewer than half of Generation X and baby boomers felt the same way at that age.\u201cWe recognise the urgency of addressing this trend.
