The group made \u20ac225mn in net income on \u20ac4.2bn in revenue during the quarter.In the US, Spotify costs $12 a month, compared with $10 a month when the streamer launched in the country more than a decade ago. Spotify is preparing to raise prices in dozens of countries across Europe and Latin America this summer, the Financial Times reported last week.\u00a0TD Cowen analyst Doug Creutz said Spotify still offered good value for consumers relative to \u201cother entertainment options\u201d and would be \u201cunlikely to see meaningful increases in [cancellations] even if the economy goes into recession\u201d. \u201cPeople also have important emotional connections to music that become more important during times of stress\u201d, Creutz added. \u00a0However, analysts expect that a recession would dent Spotify\u2019s advertising revenue, which makes up about 10 per cent of the total.
