It was reported that it \u201cthreatens his availability for this season\u201d and that he may need surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>With the vagueness and lack of in-depth reports, the public reaction to the injury sparked plenty of speculation and rumors \u2014 including that the injury was perhaps exaggerated to force New Orleans\u2019 hand with a trade.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been dealing with people lying about me, I\u2019ve been dealing with them saying this and that,\u201d Carr said. \u201cYou never know what someone\u2019s really going through. And so, why do we continually try to attack people \u2014 and I would say attack people that are trying to do things maybe the right way?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 34-year-old is entering the third year of a four-year, $150 million contract he signed with New Orleans in 2023. He played just 10 games last season due to oblique and hand injuries.<\/p>\n<p>The Saints drafted Louisville quarterback Tyler Shough in the second round \u2014 with Carr\u2019s health and future uncertain.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps the NFL world just wanted some more clarity on Carr\u2019s random offseason injury, but he didn\u2019t see it that way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhy do we always have to have an opinion?
