Despite the volatility, SAP retains its status as Europe\u2019s most valuable listed company, ahead of Denmark\u2019s Novo Nordisk and France\u2019s LVMH.SAP chief executive Christian Klein told analysts that demand for its supply chain and financial planning tools remained strong as clients navigated shifting tariffs, regulatory changes and cost-efficiency drives.\u201cCustomers seek our advice and solutions in uncertain times,\u201d said Klein, adding that the company\u2019s order pipeline for the year \u201ccontinues to look very solid\u201d.The group is in the midst of a strategic pivot from traditional software licence sales to cloud-based subscriptions, which offer more predictable and recurring revenues.SAP\u2019s current cloud backlog \u2014 a metric tracking contractually committed cloud revenue over the next 12 months \u2014 rose 29 per cent year on year on a constant currency basis to \u20ac18.2bn. Klein noted that automotive groups including Hyundai, Kia and Mazda \u2014 one of the sectors hardest hit by trade friction \u2014 had signed up for SAP\u2019s cloud migration services during the quarter. Deutsche Bank analysts said these conversions were \u201ca testament to SAP\u2019s resilience in providing key solutions to cost savings and productivity enhancements, whether it\u2019s in supply-chain optimisation or AI\u201d.
