Iamaleava had been signed to a four-year, $8 million contract.<\/p>\n<p>Before it became official, Iamaleava to UCLA was rumored to be a done deal despite the Bruins\u2019 NIL offerings not even being \u201cremotely close\u201d to what Iamaleava sought.<\/p>\n<p>Iamaleava then missed Tennessee\u2019s final practice before the Vols\u2019 annual spring game the next morning. Before the game, Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel informed the program that it\u2019d be moving forward without Iamaleava.<\/p>\n<p>Iamaleava quarterbacked Tennessee to a College Football Playoff appearance last season in the then-redshirt freshman\u2019s first stint as a full-time starter.
