There\u2019s times where I\u2019ve gotten upset and I\u2019m like, \u2018Yo, Shaq, this got to stop, man.\u2019 I tried to [talk to him].<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt this point, I\u2019m like, \u2018Do we need to throw hands? What are we doing?\u2019 Because I have not ever \u2014 for me, the only thing I\u2019ve done with Shaq is mimic his voice. But what else can I mimic him about? He\u2019s Shaquille O\u2019Neal, he\u2019s the most dominant center ever. But again, he keeps saying stuff about me. So it\u2019s like, \u2018Hey bro, do we really need to go ahead and squabble?\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Neal and Howard\u2019s disputes started when both were still playing in the NBA with discourse surrounding the \u201cSuperman\u201d nickname, which was associated with Shaq during his prime.<\/p>\n<p>Howard adopted the nickname when he entered the league, with O\u2019Neal criticizing him for not being dominant enough to take on the namesake.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s the thing that I hate the most is the fact that he always thought I was trying to be him or be like him,\u201d Howard said. \u201cBut again, if I wanted to be you or be like you, shouldn\u2019t you take that as a compliment and to show how great you are as a player or a person? I ain\u2019t never wanted to be Shaq at any level. Now, have I wanted to take certain things from him, his life and implement in my life? Hell yeah.
