I knew who it was. I called the head coach and we had a candid conversation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe were really cool. He said, \u2018Prime, that never happened.\u2019 He said, \u2018Matter of fact, it was great. We all walked out of there saying, \u2018Damn, this kid got it.\u2019 That never happened.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018Yeah, but this guy on your staff lied and said it did. So you need you check him.\u2019 And he did check him. But it never happened.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Sanders added that he didn\u2019t speak to the unnamed quarterbacks coach.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe knew I know. I never called him I just called his head coach\u2026 because that was a lie,\u201d Sanders said. <\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cI guess just because the last name is Sanders you gotta attack, and that don\u2019t make sense because we\u2019ve  we\u2019ve never attacked anybody in our lives.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>The Pro Football Hall of Famer went on to explain that Shedeur, a potential top-three pick in this year\u2019s draft, and former Colorado star Travis Hunter, another top prospect, were under a microscope at the scouting combine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou never know if somebody is getting compensated from another agent to try and to down ours\u2026 How can I have the only two players [Shedeur and Travis] going into the draft that are criticized and critiqued\u201d Sanders said. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat about all the other guys? So my guys are the only guys that are flawed? \u2026 How is he not the only kid that we heard about not participating at the combine? Do you know how many kids didn\u2019t participate at the combine? But you only heard about mine.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Shedeur made waves while at the podium in Indianapolis earlier this month, and said that teams shouldn\u2019t draft him if they don\u2019t want a quarterback who\u2019s going to come in and change the culture.<\/p>\n<p>Many have interpreted his overly confident demeanor as cockiness.<\/p>\n<p>Sanders went on to explain that many are \u201ctired\u201d of seeing his family win.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNot just games, but winning at life,\u201d Sanders said before listing his accolades on and off the field. \u201c\u2026 [People are like] \u2018OK that\u2019s enough, because we\u2019ve been dealing with him since [1988]. Now I gotta deal with his kids and they\u2019re good too, they\u2019re handsome and they\u2019re articulate and they\u2019re savvy. No I ain\u2019t ready for that. So, we\u2019re not gonna deal with him and his kids and his teams.&#8217;\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>Sanders added that he\u2019d be happy with Shedeur playing for the Giants, Titans, Browns Raiders or Saints.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know where his heart is, I know where he wants to go,\u201d \u2013 Deion Sanders on Shedeur\u2019s draft options.
