Freeman and the Dodgers defeated the Yankees in five games, rallying from behind in Game 5 in The Bronx to seal the franchise\u2019s eighth World Series win.<\/p>\n
It marked Freeman\u2019s second World Series title and his first as a Dodger, with his historic walk-off Grand Slam in Game 1 kicking the championship series off on an explosive note.<\/p>\n
Freeman, 35, joined the Dodgers on a six-year, $162 million deal in 2022 after beginning his MLB career with the Braves, where he won his first championship in 2021.<\/p>\n
