He needed to heal, and I couldn\u2019t heal him during this time. I was just like, \u2018You know what? We\u2019re going to try to work through this at a distance.\u2019 And we did live separately. So us just recommitting to one another, I feel like is important at this moment, because everything that happened since we got married, it affected us.\u201d <\/p>\n<p>Oakley, a former forward who spent 10 of his 19 NBA seasons with the Knicks, said \u201cwe\u2019ll see\u201d about the couple renewing their vows.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCharles is holding our vow renewal over my head because he feels like we spent all this money on these houses,\u201d Angela said of her real estate business. \u201c[He thinks], \u2018Let\u2019s handle this first, and then we can jump into something else.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Angela went on to mention their couples counselor on Sunday\u2019s episode and Charles rolled his eyes.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c$3,000 a month, you should love them,\u201d he quipped.<\/p>\n<p>In February 2017, Oakley was escorted off the floor at MSG and handcuffed following an altercation with security. He was arrested on three counts of assault and one count of criminal trespass.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0charges were dismissed\u00a0after Oakley agreed to a plea deal in August 2017, which included a one-year ban\u00a0from MSG.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Angela appeared on Bravo\u2019s \u201cWatch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen\u201d in New York to promote \u201cRHOA\u201d and Oakley was in the audience.<\/p>\n<p>Andy Cohen, an executive producer of the \u201cReal Housewives\u201d franchises, described the incident as a \u201cwild story\u201d and asked Oakley if he was still banned from MSG.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m not banned-banned, but [I] haven\u2019t been there [since],\u201d Charles said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe you\u2019ll come with me to a Knicks game some time and see what happens. That would be fun,\u201d Cohen added.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMaybe so, yeah, let\u2019s do it maybe \u2014 maybe they\u2019ll ban both of us then,\u201d Oakley said, laughing.<\/p>\n<p>Footage from the 2017 incident showed the former NBA All-Star in a confrontation with MSG event manager Tom Redmond, who he\u00a0told to \u201cget the f\u2013k out of my face,\u201d\u00a0according to The Athletic\u00a0in an April 2021 story titled \u201cFree Charles Oakley.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oakley allegedly \u201cpoked Redmond in the side of the face, then shoved another official twice,\u201d the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement on the night of the incident, the Knicks claimed Oakley had \u201cbehaved in a highly inappropriate and completely abusive manner\u201d and said, \u201cWe hope he gets some help soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oakley, who played for the Knicks from 1988-89 through 1997-98, has been critical of Dolan during his tenure as the team\u2019s owner.<\/p>\n<p>Dolan discussed the incident in\u00a0an interview with The New York Times that was published\u00a0in September 2023.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI wish I could change Charles Oakley,\u201d Dolan said at the time without further elaborating.<\/p>\n<p>Oakley also spoke with The New York Times and was in disbelief over Dolan\u2019s comment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s embarrassing for him to say that.
