To carry a franchise the way he did for 15 years, it says a lot about him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jalen Brunson, who suffered a severe ankle sprain last week, left the team for the rest of the road trip to continue his recovery.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks play three more games on the trip \u2014 at Sacramento, Portland and Golden State.<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks said they\u2019ll provide an update on the injury around March 21.<\/p>\n<p>As the Knicks prepare to sign veteran PJ Tucker to a contract while hoping to add toughness and leadership, Miles McBride pushed back on the idea that the team lost some of those traits from last season\u2019s gritty squad.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think our team right now is pretty tough,\u201d McBride said. \u201cThroughout the whole season we\u2019ve had some great wins, some tough fight-it-out wins, and we got stops when we needed to get stops.
