His popular food-tasting videos were accompanied by #Faturday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMichigan has the best, most passionate sports fans in the country, and nobody embodied what we\u2019re all about better than Andy Isaac,\u201d Whitmer said in a statement. \u201cWith his humor, dedication, and love for our teams, Andy helped make cheering on Detroit sports a heck of a lot more fun. He brought joy to people\u2019s lives, always asking, \u2018Tell me something good that happened to you recently.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, we remember Andy and do something good for the state of Michigan by officially proclaiming\u00a0Saturday, March 8, as \u2018Faturday.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Isaac was diagnosed with Hodgkin\u2019s Lymphoma in 2006. <\/p>\n<p>The disease \u201cfinally stripped me of quality of life,\u201d Isaac detailed in his last message revealing a foot infection that was preventing him from walking on Feb. 18.<\/p>\n<p>Whitmer\u2019s proclamation encouraged Michigan residents to support local restaurants in Isaac\u2019s memory. <\/p>\n<p>It praised him for \u201cmaintaining a spirit of kindness, humor, and unwavering enthusiasm for the teams and city he loved\u201d in the face of cancer.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Faturday is \u201cthe ultimate sports and food-filled Saturday,\u201d but really \u201cabout gathering with friends and family, rooting for your favorite teams, and treating yourself,\u201d the governor wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Isaac is survived by wife Meret. <\/p>\n<p>The family suggests donations to your local Red Cross in his memory.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic The calendar says Saturday in most places, but it\u2019s \u201cFaturday\u201d in Michigan.
