The two instantly began jawing and shoving back and forth before it escalated.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen people are aggressive, there are a lot of coincidental elbows or contact,\u201d Spurs interim coach Mitch Johnson said. \u201cI don\u2019t really know who was at fault, to be honest. But it just looked like that was what initiated it. And then there was the response on both ends.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>While Champagnie and Williams were the stars of the scuffle, Sochan and Oklahoma City\u2019s Lu Dort were among those who also got involved.<\/p>\n<p>Champagnie, Williams, Sochan and Dort all received double technicals \u2014 and all except Sochan were ejected. According to Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault, Dort\u2019s ejection was for something he said.<\/p>\n<p>De\u2019Aaron Fox, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Stephon Castle, Keldon Johnson, Cason Wallace and Aaron Wiggins were the other players on the court at the time and all were involved in the altercation.<\/p>\n<p>The Thunder went on to win, 146-132.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe had an altercation?\u201d Oklahoma City\u2019s Jalen Williams joked during his postgame interview with ESPN. \u201cIt made us refocus, figure out what\u2019s important.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Williams certainly had no trouble refocusing as he finished with a career-high 41 points, alongside seven assists, six rebounds and zero turnovers.<\/p>\n<p>While he wasn\u2019t happy with his team, Daigneault said there was reason for the Thunder\u2019s frustration.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have not been a team that\u2019s retaliated very much,\u201d Daigneault said. \u201cWe retaliated tonight.
