Jack Hughes left Sunday night\u2019s loss to the Golden Knights late in the third period after he went tumbling into the boards hard and appeared to be holding his shoulder.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Devils star forward got tangled up with Golden Knights forward Jack Eichel near the net, which sent the two down to the ice and Hughes slamming into the endboards \u2014 with his upper body taking the brunt of the force.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Eichel immediately got up and checked on Hughes as he was down on the ice clearly in pain before a team trainer immediately rushed to check on the young forward.\u00a0<\/p>\n

In the midst of the chaos, Keefe was also been ejected from the game with just under two minutes left on the clock after he appeared to make a passionate argument in the direction of the refs following Hughes\u2019 injury.<\/p>\n
