Boone said he would be interested in teams getting one challenge each that they could use from the seventh inning on for big spots in a tight game.<\/p>\n<p>But the current setup is not Boone\u2019s cup of tea.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLike [Saturday], when you\u2019re just seeing it sporadically throughout the game, there\u2019s eight, nine, 10 [challenges] \u2014 that feels weird to me,\u201d Boone said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI know coming from me, it sounds funny, but I really think these guys have gotten so good back there as a whole,\u201d added Boone, who has 39 career ejections. \u201cI feel like they keep getting better and better that I don\u2019t think I want anything to change.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Clarke Schmidt said he felt \u201cgreat\u201d throwing one inning of live batting practice Saturday in his first action since being bothered by a \u201ccranky\u201d back last week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI felt great out there and had no issues today,\u2019\u2019 Schmidt said Sunday at Steinbrenner Field. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m back on track, which is a relief.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schmidt will likely throw another live batting practice early this week before getting into a spring training game.<\/p>\n<p>After Sunday\u2019s game, the Yankees reassigned catcher Ronaldo Hern\u00e1ndez to minor league camp. \u2026 Max Fried will make his spring debut on Monday night against the Pirates at Steinbrenner Field.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Additional reporting by Dan Martin in Tampa<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic NORTH PORT, Fla. \u2014 Just over a week into the automated ball-strike system (ABS) experiment, Aaron Boone is not a fan.
