We hope it\u2019s back,\u201d NFL Films VP Keith Cossrow\u00a0told McAfee in January. \u201cWe\u2019re talking to a bunch of teams about it. But we\u2019ll see what happens. I mean, we need a willing participant on that one. We\u2019re not going to force someone to do that show.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat show is about a process,\u201d he continued. \u201cAnd I think it\u2019s really cool to have been able to make a show about, \u2018Hey we\u2019re going to start in January and we\u2019re going to have an endpoint after the draft. And you\u2019re going to see how a group of people, faced with really difficult decisions, goes about making those decisions.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Belichick, 72, will be under a microscope in his first year coaching at the college level \u2014 and having it be on HBO would certainly add intrigue to his opening chapter as a Tar Heel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s not many times you can have the greatest coach of all time take you into a meeting,\u201d Lombardi said.<\/p>\n<p>The eight-time Super Bowl winner and the Patriots parted ways after 24 seasons together last January. <\/p>\n<p>He took a year off from coaching, but kept busy with a number of television gigs.<\/p>\n<p>Last month, Belichick signed a five-year deal with a $10 million per year in base salary \u2014 though only the first three years are guaranteed. <\/p>\n<p>The contract also has a $10 million buyout that drops to $1 million in June. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cI didn\u2019t come here to leave,\u201d Belichick said during his introductory press conference at Chapel Hill on Dec. 12, 2024, which his 23-year-old girlfriend Jordon Hudson attended.<\/p>\n<p>The former National Champion cheerleader would likely be featured on the show as she had been publicly supportive of the Tar Heels after Belichick was hired.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to that, Belichick\u2019s name circulated through the coaching carousel. <\/p>\n<p>Fans will now get a closeup look at coach, who\u2019s stern and private about his program, in his element. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic The spotlight just got brighter for Bill Belichick.
