\u201cIf me and Myles were to pair up, that would be deadly,\u201d Hutchinson said on \u201cThe Squeeze\u201d podcast this week.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Before suffering a broken tibia and fibula in the beginning of this past season, Hutchinson had already racked up 7.5 sacks in just five games. In his two seasons prior, he had a combined 21 sacks, 23 tackles for loss and three interceptions.<\/p>\n
As for Garrett, he has tallied double-digit sacks in seven straight seasons, has received First-Team All Pro honors four of the last five and won Defensive Player of the Year in 2023.<\/p>\n
Garrett has already heard Hutchinson\u2019s pitch for joining him in donning the Honolulu Blue.<\/p>\n
\u201cI was talking to [Garrett], we were at the [NFL Honors] just talking about what could be,\u201d Hutchinson said.<\/p>\n
The two certainly aren\u2019t strangers. In addition to speaking at the NFL Honors, Hutchinson says they get along nicely and that Garrett even sent a text with his best wishes to the Lions star following his gruesome injury.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s a good dude,\u201d Hutchinson said.<\/p>\n
While Garrett may have his preferences, it\u2019s ultimately up to the Browns on where they trade Garrett, if anywhere at all.<\/p>\n
\u201cAlthough it\u2019s probably unlikely, I would be thrilled to play next to him if it were to happen,\u201d Hutchinson said. \u201cOur whole D-line would be just totally elevated. That\u2019d be a scary defensive line.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Lions had tremendous success this season and earned the top seed in the NFC, but flopped in the playoffs against the Commanders. Following the season, their offensive and defensive coordinators, Ben Johnson and Aaron Glenn, departed for head coaching jobs.\u00a0<\/p>\n
