{"id":215624,"date":"2025-02-21T17:00:19","date_gmt":"2025-02-21T17:00:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/globetimeline.com\/ar\/sports\/rewrite-this-title-in-arabic-charles-barkley-wants-to-pump-the-brakes-on-the-victor-wembanyama-face-of-the-league-title\/"},"modified":"2025-02-21T17:00:20","modified_gmt":"2025-02-21T17:00:20","slug":"rewrite-this-title-in-arabic-charles-barkley-wants-to-pump-the-brakes-on-the-victor-wembanyama-face-of-the-league-title","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/globetimeline.com\/ar\/sports\/rewrite-this-title-in-arabic-charles-barkley-wants-to-pump-the-brakes-on-the-victor-wembanyama-face-of-the-league-title\/","title":{"rendered":"rewrite this title in Arabic Charles Barkley wants to pump the brakes on the Victor Wembanyama \u2018face of the league\u2019 title"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic <\/p>\n<p>With the LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Stephen Curry era of the NBA in its final few seasons, a new \u201cface of the NBA\u201d must take the throne \u2014 but Charles Barkley does not think Spurs phenom Victor Wembanyama should receive that honor yet.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI saw some guys on another network the other day talking about [Wembanyama being the] \u2018face of the league,\u2019\u201d Barkley said Thursday on TNT\u2019s \u201cTip-Off\u201d show. \u201cI was so annoyed.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\t\u201cYou don\u2019t give anybody the face of the league\u2026 you take it\u201dChuck &amp; Shaq chimed in on the face of the league debate \ud83d\udc40 pic.twitter.com\/yd62MwLP0Y\u2014 NBA on TNT (@NBAonTNT) February 20, 2025 <\/p>\n<p>Barkley\u2019s frustration primarily stemmed from Wembanyama being so solidly in those discussions despite a seeming lack of success on the team level.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou don\u2019t give anybody the face of the game,\u201d he said. \u201cYou take it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen Magic Johnson and Larry Bird came in, they\u2019re like, \u2018We\u2019re the new sheriffs in town.\u2019 Shaq [O\u2019Neal] took it, Kobe [Bryant] took it, Lebron [James] took it, Steph [Curry] took it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wembanyama won\u2019t have a chance to build his case for the rest of the season after being diagnosed with deep vein thrombosis, a form of a blood clot, in his right shoulder.<\/p>\n<p>Wembanyama\u2019s last appearance came at All-Star Weekend, where he scored 11 points following his first All-Star selection.<\/p>\n<p>The 7-foot-3 phenom is averaging 24.3 points, 11 rebounds and 3.8 blocks per game this season after winning Rookie of the Year and finishing second in Defensive Player of the Year voting last year.<\/p>\n<p>He was the clear frontrunner for the latter award this season but is now not eligible.<\/p>\n<p>The players Barkley brings up are obviously all-time greats, and it\u2019s safe to say that Wembanyama is a special player who may be heading in the same direction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>But Barkley doesn\u2019t think that Wembanyama\u2019s showings in just one-and-a-half seasons can grant him the face of the league title so easily.<\/p>\n<p>O\u2019Neal, Barkley\u2019s TNT teammate, agreed with those sentiments.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey will try to put somebody as the face of the league \u2026 but [Barkley] makes a great point,\u201d O\u2019Neal said. \u201cYou have to go take it.
