I can\u2019t comment further than that,\u201d real estate mogul Orbach told TMZ Sports while Mayweather, 47, declined comment.<\/p>\n<p>Sources also relayed to the outlet that another investor will likely be added to the group and \u201cthe plan is to submit the proposal soon.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Tuesday\u2019s report comes days after The Post confirmed the Mara and Tisch families hired investment bank Moelis &amp; Company \u201cto explore the potential sale of a minority, non-controlling stake in the New York Giants,\u201d the team said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>Potential suitors were phoned by Moelis earlier this month.<\/p>\n<p>The Giants, coming off a disastrous 3-14 campaign in their 100th season in existence, were valued at $7.3 billion by Forbes in Aug. 2024.<\/p>\n<p>Weeks before news of the sale broke, Manning \u2014 who spent his 16-year career in New York and won two Super Bowls \u2014 said the idea of purchasing part of his former team is \u201cdefinitely something of interest.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s probably only one team I\u2019d be interested in pursuing, and it\u2019s the one I played for for 16 years, and it\u2019s local, and makes the most sense, but we just got to figure out if they would ever sell a little bit,\u201d the former quarterback 44, told CNBC Sport in January.<\/p>\n<p>In August, the NFL began to permit private equity investment to purchase up to 10 percent of franchises.<\/p>\n<p>Tom Brady was famously part of an ownership group that acquired a 10 percent stake in the Raiders in October.
