TAMPA \u2014 Giancarlo Stanton\u2019s October heroics became even more impressive Sunday when Aaron Boone disclosed that he was playing through an injury at the time.<\/p>\n

The 35-year-old was then ramping up his activity in the offseason before shutting it down and getting treatment on his elbows.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s just something we don\u2019t want to rush,\u201d Boone said. \u201cIf we can get to a really good spot \u2013 and know we\u2019re probably going to have to deal with some maintenance on it throughout the year. But don\u2019t want to force anything too early.<\/p>\n
