The pair\u2019s joint press conference Sunday made it clear that they \u2014 at least publicly \u2014 believe Davis\u2019 two-way skills will fit better with their roster better than Doncic\u2019s all-offense, no-defense approach.<\/p>\n
The Mavericks also have high hopes for how Max Christie will help with that defensive focus.<\/p>\n
Those two, plus the 2029 first-round pick, are going to have to contribute now and in the future for the Mavericks or Harrison and Kidd may be polishing their r\u00e9sum\u00e9s.<\/p>\n
