It looks just like Patrick Mahomes!&#8217;\u201d Johnny Chen, owner of Mr. D\u2019s Donut Shop in Shawnee, KS, told The Post.<\/p>\n<p>Chen dished on its winning recipe, which starts with their signature yeast-raised donut.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe got the headband, made of red vanilla fondant, with KC written on it. At the bottom is maple icing for the face and at the top is chocolate icing and chocolate sprinkles and that\u2019s Patrick Mahomes\u2019 head.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The 50-year-old shop started making Chiefs-themed donuts in 2021, when the team made the playoffs \u2014 and quickly came up with the idea for creating a donut in the MVP\u2019s image.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe gathered our team and we were like, \u2018Who\u2019s our best player?\u2019 Obviously at the time it was, and still is right now, Patrick Mahomes,\u201d recalled Chen, who runs the store with his wife, Boggie Otgonbayar.<\/p>\n<p>Since the 2022 playoffs, Chen has been hosting charity challenges with donut shops in the opposing teams\u2019 cities, with the loser having to make a donation to charity and send over donuts.<\/p>\n<p>For this year\u2019s Super Bowl, he tried to team up with Federal Donuts in Philly, famous for their Eagles\u2019 green \u201cIggle\u201d donuts, but didn\u2019t hear back.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThey all have turned me down,\u201d he said. \u201cWe are the new villain in the donut world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Mr. D\u2019s makes a total of six Chiefs donuts \u2014 which retail at $2.50 each \u2014 and the others are decorated with the team\u2019s arrowhead logo as well as mini jerseys crafted from vanilla fondant, complete with the players\u2019 numbers.<\/p>\n<p>The shop currently has around 150 pre-orders for their Chiefs\u2019 dozen donut boxes ahead of the Super Bowl, and 15% percent of their proceeds will go towards a local charity.<\/p>\n<p>In past years, they have supported charities such as Mahomes\u2019 15 and the Mahomies Foundation, dedicated to children in underserved communities, and this year, they\u2019re donating to the Steps of Faith Foundation, which provides prosthetics to amputees.  <\/p>\n<p>Mr. D\u2019s also has a tradition \u2014 that begins each year when the Chiefs get to the divisional round \u2014 of burning the opposing team\u2019s logo on the top of their s\u2019mores donuts for the week leading up to the game \u2014 and selling them.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe most recent one obviously is Burnt Bills and we post online how we torch them and light them on fire,\u201d Chen explained.<\/p>\n<p>They also hold two televised ceremonies each year \u2014 ahead of the AFC Championship and Super Bowl \u2014 where Chen lights the opponent\u2019s donut on fire and his longtime customer, George, an octogenarian who comes in every day for a donut and coffee, stomps on it.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for superstitions too, we\u2019re like, \u2018George, you have to do it,&#8217;\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic Get a taste of this sweet Super Bowl ring \u2014 of dough \u2014 which a Kansas baker dedicated to his hero, Patrick Mahomes. \u201cThey all look at it and they\u2019re like, \u2018Oh my God!
