That ramp up could take some time, given the length of his layoff.<\/p>\n<p>Day\u2019Ron Sharpe played in Sunday night\u2019s 127-101 loss to the Thunder after being questionable with a right eye injury. <\/p>\n<p>He had nine points and seven rebounds in 18 minutes off the bench despite the eye issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019re from the south. We\u2019re built different,\u201d Sharpe said. \u201c\u2026 So unless something\u2019s really broke, [then] you don\u2019t play. I\u2019m old school. I got one eye, for real. Yeah, my right eye is still a little blurry. But I\u2019m still just playing.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Coach Jordi Fernandez added: \u201cHe did pregame. He played through it in L.A. He\u2019s been dealing with it, discomfort.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>YES Network first reported that Sharpe got hit in the eye with a basketball during warmups before Friday\u2019s loss at the Lakers.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll I know is I just turned right, and a basketball flew into my face and hit me right in the eye. Then I tried to get up and go shoot, and it was a little blurry,\u201d Sharpe said. \u201cSo I went to the back, eye red, watering. I just threw some eye drops in and told the team let\u2019s go. That\u2019s what I did, for real.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The center is expected to see a doctor Monday.<\/p>\n<p>Cam Johnson returned to the lineup after missing the past two games with a right ankle sprain. <\/p>\n<p>He had 15 points on 6-for-11 shooting.<\/p>\n<p>Johnson had missed seven of the prior eight with the injury, and said he expects to have to manage it for the immediate future.<\/p>\n<p>Ben Simmons did not play against the Thunder due to an illness.<\/p>\n<p>Oklahoma City star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander started after missing his only game of the season Friday night, a loss to the Mavericks.
