So great at what he did. He captured so many big moments at the Garden.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOn top of that, just who he was as a person, he always made everybody feel good, and you can\u2019t say anything more about a person. He was just a great, great guy and a fantastic photographer. And the way he captured everything that happened here was really special.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Long Island native, who began working as the official photographer at MSG in 1966, reportedly died of natural causes and complications from Parkinson\u2019s Disease, according to Newsday.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFor more than 50 years, George was synonymous with Madison Square Garden,\u201d MSG said in a statement. \u201cThere wasn\u2019t a single important moment at The World\u2019s Most Famous Arena that George didn\u2019t capture.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom Willis Reed\u2019s inspiring walk onto the court for Game 7 of 1970 NBA Finals to \u2018The Fight of the Century\u2019 between Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier, George and his lens were there.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Friday also marked Thibodeau\u2019s 67th birthday, which he shared with the late Ali.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can\u2019t even remember that long ago. But I realize how fortunate I\u2019ve been,\u201d Thibodeau said. \u201cObviously you need good fortune.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve been around a lot of great coaches, great players, great organizations.
