The MEPs said they had particular concerns about \u201cthe interference perpetrated\u201d by Elon Musk \u201cin the German election campaign and, before that, in Ireland&#8221;, without elaborating.Musk is backing Germany&#8217;s far-right Alternative f\u00fcr Deutschland (AFD) party in the forthcoming parliamentary elections and held a\u00a0debate on his social network on 9 January with AFD leader Alice Weidel. The day before, Musk posted on X that \u201cIrish citizens get longer sentences than illegal immigrants. That\u2019s messed up.\u201dLast July,\u00a0the Commission notified X of its preliminary findings indicating breaches of the DSA.
