\u201cI went back to the locker room to get eye checked on,\u201d Porter allegedly texted the coconspirators.\u00a0<\/p>\n

\u201cHit unders for the big numbers,\u201d Porter allegedly texted the coconspirators. \u201cI\u2019m going to play first 2-3 minute sting off the bench then when I get subbed out tell them my eye killing me again.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
One of the coconspirators then forwarded the message to Hennen.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The coconspirators allegedly then sent Hennen two screenshots of betting slips for wagers placed on proposition bets for Porter \u2014 one a $29,382 parlay wager on the \u201cunders\u201d for Porter\u2019s points and rebounds and the other a $3,700 bet on the under for Porter\u2019s rebounds.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Hennen is then accused of placing \u201cunders\u201d bets on Porter as well.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Porter, brother of Nuggets star Michael Porter Jr., did take himself out of the game, and one of the coconspirators texted Hennen that he had a positive balance of $1,114. <\/p>\n
Hennen then asked the coconspirator to send that money to his bank account.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Porter was not on the Raptors injury report before the game, and after playing just four minutes and recording zero points, three rebounds and one assist, he came out of the game after complaining to team officials that he aggravated an eye injury.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Alledged text messages between Porter and the coconspirators were also unveiled from the Raptors-Kings game on March 20, 2024, with a similar message, that he\u2019d take himself out of the game early.\u00a0<\/p>\n
And after playing just three minutes and recording zero points, two rebounds and zero assists, he complained to team officials about feeling ill and came out of the game.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Porter surrendered to law enforcement and pleaded guilty in July to wire fraud conspiracy before he was released on a $250,000 bond, while the four other coconspirators were charged and arrested in June for their role in the alleged scheme.\u00a0<\/p>\n
