I\u2019m very, very proud of Sim\u2019.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Wilcher only made 3-of-10 shots from the field, but he didn\u2019t let it get him down. <\/p>\n<p>He defended well and came through in the clutch. <\/p>\n<p>Without Smith, the Johnnies\u2019 motor, Wilcher didn\u2019t leave the floor in the second half until fouling out with a half-minute left. <\/p>\n<p>He wasn\u2019t allowed to be tired.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI would say thank God for the media timeouts,\u201d Wilcher said jokingly. \u201cAnd free throws, for sure. We were a little bit tired, but in the situation, in the heat of the moment, you kind of zone out from that and just have to worry about the task going on at hand.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Freshman Jaiden Glover (right wrist) appeared in the final half-minute of the first half. <\/p>\n<p>He\u2019s still feeling discomfort shooting, but the wrist is improving. <\/p>\n<p>Pitino believes he will be available on Tuesday against Georgetown. <\/p>\n<p>Former Villanova coach Jay Wright and former Villanova star and Knicks point guard Jalen Brunson were among the 18,178 in attendance. <\/p>\n<p>It marked the second-largest crowd for a St. John\u2019s home game since Pitino arrived. <\/p>\n<p>The largest was last year\u2019s sellout against Connecticut at the Garden.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Summarize this content to 2000 words in 6 paragraphs in Arabic Simeon Wilcher may not have shot well, but he contributed in other ways.
