He\u2019s been one of the big names that\u2019s ended up on the coaching carousel during the past two offseasons and was notably a finalist for the Seahawks head coach job last year.\u00a0<\/p>\n
He also interviewed for the Titans\u2019 top coaching vacancy last offseason. <\/p>\n
In the year prior, Kafka spoke with the Panthers, Texans, Colts and Cardinals about their respective openings.<\/p>\n
\u201cMy focus hasn\u2019t been on [getting interviews], my focus has been on Philly,\u201d Kafka said last week when he was pressed by reporters. \u201cJust getting prepared for the game this weekend.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n
Kafka did add that he was under contract with the Giants next season, and Daboll told reporters that he would like to have his offensive coordinator back next season.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe does a good job for us,\u201d he said at the start of January.\u00a0<\/p>\n
The Bears and Saints have made a number of requests to teams to speak with candidates for their openings.\u00a0<\/p>\n
Chicago has asked to speak with Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn and offensive coordinator Ben Johnson, Dolphins DC Anthony Weaver and Cardinals OC Drew Petzing. <\/p>\n
