But I\u2019m progressing.\u201d\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McBride was sorely missed in Friday night\u2019s 117-110 loss to the Thunder, with the Knicks managing just five total points while the starters logged heavy minutes. <\/p>\n<p>It was the first time since 2013 that all five Knicks starters each played at least 40.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps not coincidentally, the Knicks (23-11) looked fatigued and were outhustled by the deeper Thunder in the fourth quarter. <\/p>\n<p>They also face the second game of a back-to-back on Saturday in Chicago.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The Knicks could certainly use McBride, their most reliable reserve and only real minutes eater off the bench.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRight now it\u2019s just been taking it slow, just doing a little bit more of manual work and just really trying to give it a little bit more time,\u201d he said.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>McBride sustained the injury while warming up for Wednesday\u2019s contest against the Jazz. <\/p>\n<p>He was slated to start that match up because Jalen Brunson was scratched in the morning because of calf soreness.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI just going and I just felt [my hamstring] grab,\u201d McBride said. \u201cAnd I went to the back, tried to figure out what happened. It just hurt.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s super, super frustrating,\u201d he added. \u201cNobody ever wants to be hurt and especially on a night you get a chance to start. Super frustrating. But it\u2019s a part of it.
