PROVIDENCE, R.I. — This NCAA Tournament is a family affair for Aaron Scott.

When the gritty St. John’s forward steps onto the Amica Mutual Pavilion court Saturday afternoon, looking to extend his season, more than 1,600 miles away in Norman, Okla., his sister, Liz, will be hoping to do the same thing.

She’s a senior reserve forward for third-seeded Oklahoma, which is scheduled to tip off against Florida Gulf Coast 10 minutes before St. John’s plays Arkansas.

“It’s crazy,” Aaron said as the second-seeded Johnnies prepared to meet No. 10 Alabama with a Sweet 16 berth on the line. “She made the tournament all her years, so she’s been waiting on me to make it. It’s finally here. I finally got the chance. It’s really about my parents, how they raised us, how they brought us up and the stuff that they taught us.”
