The race to cut the nets down in San Antonio has narrowed.

After a whirlwind opening weekend, only 16 teams remain in the 2025 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament. As expected, there were upsets — looking at you, McNeese, Drake, Colorado State, and Arkansas — but after the first round of March Madness, the field has mostly settled into a lineup of favorites.

Thus far, all No. 1 seeds, Duke, Auburn, Florida and Houston have advanced. Three of the four No. 2’s are officially in (congrats Alabama, Tennessee, Michigan State; sorry, St. John’s). Only Texas Tech and Kentucky won twice to represent the 3 seeds. No. 4’s Arizona, Maryland and Purdue round out the favored squads to make it to week two of the grueling tourney.

Surprise squads that live to see another day include No. 5 Michigan, No. 6’s Mississippi and BYU and No. 10 Arkansas (once again, our apologies to St. John’s).

And if you want to see how the dust settles after the next round of ridiculousness goes down, last-minute tickets are available for all Sweet 16 and Elite Eight games at New Jersey’s Prudential Center, Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, San Francisco’s Chase Center and Indianapolis’ Lincoln Oil Stadium.

Based on our findings at the time of publication, the lowest price we could find on tickets for any one Sweet 16 doubleheader session was $178 including fees on Vivid Seats.

Elite 8/Sweet 16 “all sessions” packages start at $369 including fees on Vivid Seats.

For more information, our team has everything you need to know and more about the 2025 March Madness below.

All prices listed above are subject to fluctuation.
