There was emotion from Kadary Richmond Tuesday night.

Seriously.

That’s how you know how important this game was.

The typically stoic star celebrated after a few big plays, screaming after scoring inside and drawing a foul in one instance.

After blocking a 3-point attempt in the final minutes, Richmond reacted again, playing to the jubilant crowd.

“An out-of-body experience,” the soft-spoken guard deadpanned after helping No. 12 St. John’s knock off 11th-ranked Marquette 70-64 for the Johnnies’ biggest win of the season in front of 16,521 at the Garden. “It felt good to get the win, make some good plays. I’ll leave it at that.”

After a slow start at his new school, Richmond has been one of the Big East’s best players of late.

The Brooklyn native was dominant against Marquette, notching 18 points, 11 rebounds, eight assists and two steals in 37 brilliant minutes.

During this nine-game winning streak, he is averaging 14.2 points, 5.8 assists, 5.8 rebounds and 2.5 steals.

Richmond has come a long way since early January, when Rick Pitino felt he needed to lose a few pounds.

“I think [Seton Hall coach] Shaheen Holloway did a fabulous job preparing him and he has taken his conditioning level to an all-time high,” Pitino said. “He can play a whole game without getting tired now. That wasn’t the case before. He doesn’t take plays off. You’re seeing a well, well-oiled, conditioned basketball player who makes great plays.”

The crowd included Yankees manager Aaron Boone, former Giants receiver Victor Cruz, former Mets reliever John Franco, actor Steve Schirripa and billionaire booster and alum Mike Repole.

St. John’s has won nine consecutive league games for the first time since the 1984-85 season. That was also its last trip to the Final Four.
