Fifty games into the Rangers season, Adam Edstrom has played in every single one.
The 6-foot-7 rookie has emerged as a defensively reliable fourth-line winger who can lead the forechecking charge and make things happen in front of the net.

“We want to build something, put together a real nice body of work and become a line that’s really to be reckoned with. Just keep building every game.”
Edstrom has lined up on the opposite wing of Rempe 14 times so far this season, after doing so in the first eight consecutive games following the latter’s first NHL recall last season.
With Rempe standing at 6-foot-8 ¹/₂ , Edstrom is the closest player to his size he has ever played with.
The two tied the NHL record — set by Zdeno Chara and Dougie Hamilton — for the tallest duo to connect on goal in league history after Edstrom set him up in the shutout win over Ottawa last week.

“He’s a couple years older, but we were drafted [a year apart from each other], we kind of came up together,” said Rempe, who bounced in and out of the lineup and up and down from AHL Hartford through the first couple months. “Last year, my first call up we played together the first games and it was great. I think we’ve grown really close the last two years. It’s cool to kind of have all the highs and lows we experience together. It’s fun, it’s really fun, to have a camaraderie and a brothership.”
