Jason Pinnock agreed to a one-year deal with the 49ers after spending the last three years with the Giants, according to multiple reports.
No financial details about the contract were revealed and it will be the first time Pinnock has played outside the New York area in his NFL career.
However, he did appear to react to the news in a post on X.
“Leggo to work!” he wrote along with a pickaxe emoji.
During his three seasons with the Giants, he had 6.5 sacks, 11 pass breakups and a pick-six.
Last season, Pinnock allowed a passer rating of 148.3 when he was targeted, which was the worst among all defensive backs who saw more than 20 targets, the 33rd Team reported.
Pinnock, 25, was drafted by the Jets with the No. 175 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
He played in 12 games his first season in the league, making 16 tackles and forcing two fumbles.
Pinnock was waved ahead of the 2022 season and ended up with the Giants, appearing in 46 games over the next three seasons.
The DB started 39 of the 58 contests he’s played through his four seasons in the NFL and has 227 total tackles.
He also added another message to both New York fan bases upon his departure.
“Thank you NY! I love you, forever in my heart,” he wrote with blue and green heart emojis.
He joins a defense in San Francisco led by his former Jets head coach Robert Saleh.
