Some of Notre Dame and Ohio State’s biggest fans made their way to Atlanta.

Comedian Shane Gillis, former Notre Dame running back Jerome Bettis and legendary quarterback Joe Montana were on hand for Monday’s national championship game to cheer on the Fighting Irish at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Mike Golic, who played lineman at Notre Dame and is a former ESPN radio host, was also in attendance.

Ohio State wasn’t without its celebrity supporters though.

Lakers superstar LeBron James was seen rocking Buckeyes gear in a luxury box, while Phillies star Bryce Harper was also in attendance and on the field pregame.

Buckeyes legend, and 1974 and 1975 Heisman Trophy winner, Archie Griffin was also on hand to cheer on his alma mater, while hip-hop star Travis Scott also attended.

During his time at Ohio State, Griffin rushed for 5,177 yards on 845 carries, excluding bowl games.

Montana threw 4,121 passing yards in his three seasons at Notre Dame and helped lead the Fighting Irish to a national championship in 1977.

Bettis recorded 1,912 rushing yards and 27 touchdowns in his three seasons in South Bend before going on to be a star with the Steelers in the NFL.

Bettis served as the honorary captain for Notre Dame — along with Griffin for Ohio State — and was on the field for the pregame coin toss and recorded a video for social media.

“I’m here at the national championship. I’m waiting for the Irish to go to work,” Bettis said.

Gillis appeared on “College GameDay” ahead of the Fighting Irish’s College Football Playoff game against Indiana at Notre Dame Stadium.

The popular comedian joked on-air that SEC teams had been paying its players and NIL rules had helped level the playing field, which angered former Alabama coach and ESPN analyst Nick Saban and created an awkward moment later on the set.

Gillis was featured in a recent commercial for Under Armor, praying for the Fighting Irish to win the national championship.

“Hey, God. It’s me Shane. I know I haven’t been here in a while, but I have a pretty big prayer for you,” he said in the ad.

The prayer seemed to have gone unanswered, since the Fighting Irish went into halftime down 21-7 to Ohio State.
