The Parliament’s plenary session will then hold a vote to make a final decision on the two cases.Moretti and Gualmini have suspended themselves from the S&D group, “to avoid any kind of instrumentalisation”, the Italian socialist delegation told Euronews. “We are convinced of the absolute non-involvement of Alessandra Moretti and Elisabetta Gualmini in the facts contested by the Belgian prosecutor’s office,” a Partito Democratico press statement read.Neither MEP was immediately available for comment.
